*ZZzzzz* ;)
Drove back from Franfurence3 with Yakeo this morning around 5am :P

Overall FF3 was fun, not much to do for suiters there unfortunately.
It was nice to meet new furs, and meet back others I don't see often IRL still.

Saturday

We left after lunch, it's still amazing we managed to get everything to fit in my car :)
It was like playing tetris with all the stuff, we did find like the perfect combination,
between the fursuit boxes, suitcase, amps, speakers, more boxes, bags and cables and stuff,
it was filling up to the roof of the car ;))
Too bad I don't think I have piccies of that ;)

So we arrived on the con site on saturday afternoon, thanks to the GPS, as the site was quite isolated, and had to go through lots of small roads ;)
Meeting up with friends, then setting up the material, afterall my main amp gets used as the main amp,
even if before the con I had been told by the 'material planner' tjat I could only use and set it up for the dance Yakeo and I were running.
Ah well, it was a good decision I think at least, better late than never :P
More setup for free 24/7 DDR, and we are ready to eat ;)

BBQ
BBQ was supposed to take place, but it was raining badly.
They still try to start the fire place under heavy rain (uh?)
it burns a bit, but sure will have bad time cooking all the meet ;)
After some time they finally make it cook in the kitchen.
Might have been better to start from there ;)

Dance
Something like a couple of hours delays on schedule already,
The dance was supposed to take place at 11pm, and there was a SIG before it, I was afraid that it delays badly the dance
would have sucked as the dance was already not really at the best time, if it would have started at 1am , eek ;)
Last minute dance saving decision, the SIG before the dance is moved to the day after that , weeeeh ;)

We hurry up setting up the dance as to not delay it further, skipping the effects on the projector and stuff.
Just a few lights and good music :)
(forgot the strobe, argh.. )

Yakeo starts to DJ his songs,
I go change in suit and go to the dance floor with timduru 1 ;)
It's really very warm and moist in the room, but I still manage to dance until the switch :)
Then I go back to the room to change into Timduru toony and the neons head gear ;)
After about 1.5 hours, yakeo switches the music to the mix I had made for the dance.
So that he can now join us in suit for dancing , weeehh :)
If you like the kind of music I usually use on my video mixes and dvds, you might want to download it :)
(I'll remove it from online in a few weeks)

Soo, we go through the full mix, then we switch to different kind of music, played by different people
more yakeo, furrtek etc.. :)
weeh lots of fun , but exhausting :)

The dance was quite successful at least, the dance floor was even too full sometime ;)
Around 14 furs for the first half, and between 7-10 survivors for the last part :)
That's about the expected figures for a dance, a bit more than 1/3 for the first part, and less as time goes by :)
First objective fulfilled ;)
The dances finishes slowly, and we go to bed around 4:30am
The next day is supposed to be a slow day anyway, nothing really to do for suiters.

Sunday

skipped fursuit event
There was supposed to be some kinda mix between a parade / fursuit SIG / question-answers about suits taking place on that day.
But I wish I could have been consulted on that, as these kind of things can't really be mixed , and don't work if put during main other events.
First the timeslot given for that supposed fursuit event was right during other main events taking place in the only useable room.
So that means no real places to go and most people beeing busy in the main event in the main room.
It's always nice to go out in suit even if it's for a couple of people, but still .. ;)

Then the thing is that what was planned doesn't mix together.
You can't mix a parade + fursuit SIG + question-answers in the same timeslot all together, and certainly not during another main event.
You are not really supposed to talk in suit, and if you do some kind of parade / photoshot it's difficult to stay 2 extra hours after that to talk about suits in front of the audience.
Another problem is that it was still raining outside for the photoshoot / parade.
So we preferred to just delay the photoshot/ parade / outing part until the next day which was mostly forecasted as sunny :)
And people know that they can always come to me to talk about suits and ask all the questions they like outside of any events,
and that's what happened from time to time, so all the good :)

DDR test & ankle busting
The rest of the day is a mix of boredom and during the afternoon...
bad ankle busting, ouch.
I was trying the hard dance mats to see if it would work in suit or not, and I stepped right on the side of the dance mat,
twisting badly my ankle and falling onto it.
That marked an end to my DDR for sure.

At least I had enough time to figure out why these hard type of dance mat don't work while in suit.
The main reason is that:
- I'm too light to get the arrows pushed down, held down.
- fursuit feet are too big to fit in whole on the arrow, so since the arrow are a wood square that need to get down inside the surrouding non arrow wood part.
the feet is simply stumping on the non arrow part which are not moving and so you're not even pushing the arrow.
So you either have to really kick hard to bend your feet and that part of it pushes a bit the arrow, but it's really not manageable.
Could try to push the arrow with the toes of the feet, but since usually your own feet is not inside the end part of the fursuit feet, you can't really do that ;))

Soo, it was good that I had brought my regular soft ignition dance mats so that we could use them for fursuits >:)
Now the question was, would I be able to do the DDR with the fucked up ankle.
Put some ice on it thanks to Sans-Passé and the person in the kitchen for helping(didn't see who that was)
it helped a bit for a few minutes, but after some time it was really hurting too much,
just laying down in bed was not helping either, it was hurting all the time,
and hurting even more at every heart beat.

That's when super Jallora came to the rescue :)
She had gotten her diploma in medicine just a few days ago, and now I was her first patient ;)
she had some cream and bandage to put on my ankle, that helped me to sleep ok.
Damn, I was so pissed off that I busted my ankle and might not be able to do the Fursuit DDR, and not be able to be bouncy in suit.

Monday

DDRTournament

The tournament is taking place in the morning,
I skip the training at 8am, was still in bed,
and without breakfast it wouldn't have been the best, as breakfast / brunch was only starting officially at 10am.
DDR tournament was planned for 10am.
I can barely manage to stand up and walk still ..
I take a massive shot of of pain-killer.

Show must go on right ? ;)
Fursuiters can't let it go ! ;)

And hope the painkillers helps, I'll take it easy and try to go gradually.
I go back to my room to put the first timduru on,
put a bandage on the outside of the ankle of the suit too, in hoping that at least a few will notice as to avoid getting pounced / hugged / lifted / pushed / mauled hardly ;))
It also kinda helped supporting my ankle.

The tournament can then start,
starting slowly, passing a few rounds, I managed to play ok for most of it,
just can't be as bouncy and as fast as I would like.
double-arrows / jumps were hitting very baddly on my ankle and made me lose after 3rd or 4th round just by like 1 or 2 points out of 100 ?
I didn't really follow the tournament anyway, just wanted to do some DDR and show ;)
I think I managed up to 1/2 finals though ? ;)

DDR Fursuit crash course ;o)
I had not gotten enough, and I was quite warm, and I think the warming up was helping a bit the ankle,
sooo, I asked if I could do some more show once the tournament finals were over >:)
Sooo it's time for InTheGroove2 Hardcore Galore time ;)

For those who don't really know DDR in details,
the basic mode is about hitting the arrows in rythm with the music
You then have a few special modes like In The Groove 2 with modifiers / effects added on the arrows ;)
ITG contains courses like the 'Hardcore galore' one I choosed to try,
which is basically 4 songs in a row, with lots of effects added to the arrows,
for example, shacking , rotating the arrows,
making them disappear, blinking etc... ;)
I should have some video of that, thanks to furrtek
and rimou :)
It should be easier to see what I mean then ;)

Soo here I am, trying to do what I can on that nightmare hardcore galore course ;))
it was lots of fun, and I like that kind of music, it makes me all bouncy. :)
I made it after all, and people watching seemed to enjoy it, that's the most important ;)

Fursuit outing / photoshot
Nothing much for the rest of the day after that,
I gathered all the suiters for the outing at 4pm, so that we can at least do some photoshot outside the castle.
Even as it was during a smaller SIG that the day before, most people didn't bother joining us.
Ah well.. that's a problem with small cons / meets..
We still had our lot of fun outside, it was nice to have all suiters out there in one shot :)
Near the end a few kids pass by with their parents, they were quite amused to see me interact with them :)
other suiters were not much comfortable with joining though, and were only watching me from far *g*
Thanks to Lucky Stallion for taking photos of the outing :)
Not much else
In the afternoon it was mostly only Role Playing Game stuff... so not much else to do.
Really not my thing, I think there really should be parallel things planned for non-RPG addicts people,
not exile them in their corner, not even giving them a place to get food in the evening , wtf ?
I think we were something like 14-15 not playing the RPG, which is almost half of the people.
We still managed having some fun and some food anyway,
basically fooling around and talking, watching videos and other stuff.

more photos and videos coming soon ;)
Now back to unpacking , cleaning and stuff ;)

That one could be turned like into a postcard
"kids meeting alien from outer space" ;)
They were a bit shy at first but they were all bouncy when I came back to them the 2nd time ;)
